The STAAD Foundation Advanced application window is split into Using Window Panes , each of which may be moved, closed, or "floated" outside the main window.

The STAAD Foundation Advanced window contains the following sections by default:

1. Application button and menu
2. Quick access toolbar
3. Title Bar - displays the file name of the project that is currently open & active
4. Ribbon toolbar - contains multiple menu items located at the top of the window. toolbars
5. Main Navigator pane
6. Tabbed View window
7. Data Input and Load pane
8. Output Pane
9. Status Bar - Provides prompts, context-sensitive assistance, and some interactive functionality.
